To særlige og ganske gratis koncertaftener med stedsspecifikke musikværker i nedlagte Vridsløselille Statsfængsel.
Fortiden brager sammen med fremtiden, når nogle af nutidens mest lovende musikere og musikskabere tænder for lyden inde bag de 160 år gamle, ikoniske fængselsmure i Albertslund.
To aftener 10. og 11. juni overtager studerende fra RMC det tidligere Vridsløselille Statsfængsel med et spændende, højaktuelt og eklektisk sammensat koncertprogram, der er særligt skabt til og inspireret af rammerne i det usædvanlige bygningskompleks.
Vridsløse Takeover er gratis for publikum og præsenteres af RMC i samarbejde med det lokale spillested Forbrændingen og med Porten, der er Albertslunds nye kulturelle samlingspunkt i de historiske bygninger på den gamle fængselsgrund.
De to koncertaftener er udviklet og kurrateret af de studerende selv til det nedlagte fængsels spektakulære inde- og udearealer – herunder det centrale panoptikon, fængselskirken og en black box-scene i de indsattes udtjente gymnastiksal. Alle koncerter, værker og installationer er opstået i samskabende processer og fællesskaber.
Det detaljerede program til Vridsløse Takeover offentliggøres kort før det går løs – forvent et samtidsmusikalsk kalejdoskop med udtryk fra hele spektret mellem udforskende lydkunst og medrivende pop.
I alt 24 kunstnere afslutter det første år på deres kandidatuddannelse med at undersøge potentialet og værdien i at forene musikalske ideer og visioner i kunstneriske partnerskaber og samskabelse.

Two special and completely free concert evenings with site-specific musical works in the former Vridsløselille State Prison.Experience the fusion of past and future as some of today's most promising musicians and composers bring sound to life behind the 160-year-old walls of the iconic Vridsløselille State Prison in Albertslund.
On June 10th and 11th, students from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) will take over this former prison with a dynamic and eclectic concert program, specially crafted to complement and be inspired by this unique setting.
Presented by RMC in collaboration with local venue Forbrændingen and Porten, Albertslund's new cultural hub, Vridsløse Takeover offers a rare opportunity to explore music in the historic spaces of the old prison grounds. The event is free and open to the public.
Each evening will feature performances developed and curated by the students, utilizing the prison's spectacular indoor and outdoor spaces—including the central panopticon, the prison church, and a black box stage in the disused gymnasium. These concerts, works, and installations are the result of co-creative processes and community efforts.
Stay tuned for the detailed program announcement coming soon. Attendees can expect a kaleidoscope of contemporary music, ranging from exploratory sound art to captivating pop.
A total of 24 artists will conclude their first year of the master’s program by exploring the potential and value of uniting musical ideas and visions through artistic partnerships and co-creation.

Oktoberfest i Porten vender tilbage igen i år - og traditionen tro står Slowburn for det festlige værtskab i de oplagte omgivelser, når det hyggelige bryggeri afholder oktoberfest d. 18. oktober kl. 13.00 til 00.00.

D. 30. oktober omdanner børn og voksne fra Bakkens Hjerte og Baunegården det gamle Vridsløselille fængsel til et hjemsøgt børnehjem for store og små gæster.
De to klubber inviterer alle i byen til en tur gennem Halloween-ruten i Porten torsdag d. 30. oktober.
Gå den frygtindgydende rute gennem det hjemsøgte børnehjem, hvor nonner og børn kæmper for at komme ud.
Arrangementet er tilpasset børn og voksne, så hele familien kan nyde en skræmmende god tur i fængslet, hvor næste gys lurer rundt om hvert et hjørne.
Billetpris: 10 dkk pr. person (der betales med mobile pay ved hovedindgangen - den grønne port) Saftevand og kage til 5 dkk.
Tidspunkt: Kl. 15.30-17.00 og igen fra kl. 17.45-19.30
